'Apocalypto' actors defends Gibson

New York, Aug 5 (IANS) Actors on the set of Mel Gibson's new
movie "Apocalypto" are defending Gibson in the face of criticism
after he made anti-Semitic remarks during a
police arrest.
According to hollywood.com, Gibson had openly expressed his
hatred for Jews after he was caught speeding and the comments
shocked the Hollywood community. Actor
Maurcio Amuy who became Gibson's close friend on the set of the
movie says that Gibson is nothing like the anti-Semitic
character the media is writing about."
He said: "I never heard Mel say on
the production... 'I hate Jewish (people).' I never saw Mel
drunk - maybe he had two or three drinks."
