Spielberg plays down Yimou collaboration reports
Indo-Asian News Service
New York, Aug 30 (IANS) Oscar winning director Steven Spielberg
has rebuffed reports that he is going to work with Chinese
director Zhang Yimou and insists that he has
been misinterpreted.
According to imdb.com, rumours were rife that the two were set
to team up together for a screen version of the classic Chinese
novel "Journey to the West".
But a spokesperson for Spielberg said: "There does not appear to
be anything to it. It's not impossible that something vaguely
might have been said which was interpreted
that way." .
