Simmons plans expensive Sanskrit line
Indo-Asian News Service
London, Aug 10 (IANS) Rap mogul-turned-designer Russell Simmons
is going back to ancient India for inspiration for his new line
of quality T-shirts.
According to contactmusic.com, Simmons, who is the founder of
Phat Farm, has come up with his new project RWS. RWS involves
ancient designs on top quality fabrics.
He says: "We'll do a lot of Sanskrit (text) with allover
graphics. It's a fun company, very different, very expensive
eight-ounce selvedge denim."
Simmons has a lot of money to play with as he embarks on his
latest venture -- he sold his Phat Farm empire for a reported
$140 million in 2004.
