Williams remains an Oasis fan

London, Aug 24 (IANS) Pop superstar Robbie Williams is
determined to remain an Oasis fan even though he represents
"everything they detest".
According to contactmusic.com, Williams for a while was close to
Noel and Liam Gallagher of Oasis in the mid 90s. But he has
since then publicly fallen out with the band.

Williams said: "I'm not their kind of person. I'm the old-time
musical, I'm the end of the pier, I'm Norman Wisdom, I'm big
show tunes. I'm everything they detest. I'm a huge
fan of Oasis - of what they were anyway - and what they meant to
me. They were very important in my life."
