Surya Jyothika Marriage
Suriya, Jyothika to tie knot on 9/11

Chennai, Aug 8 (IANS) Putting at rest media speculation, popular
Tamil and Telugu actors Suriya and Jyothika have decided to get
married on 9/11!
The couple will get married at a strictly private function,
which will be followed by a public reception.
The announcement came from Sivakumar, Suriya's father and a
yesteryear star who has been repeatedly denying rumours of their
romance.
Touted as the "star wedding of the decade" down south, it comes
years after the marriage of Ajith, the racing enthusiast known
chiefly for his romantic roles, and
dreamy-eyed Shalini, remembered above all for "Alai Payuthe".
However, these star weddings have come decades after the Gemini
Ganesan-Savithri affair that filmgoers followed with interest
then.
There has been talk of a Suriya-Jyothika romance ever since they
appeared together in their first film "Poovellaam Kettuppaar"
two years ago. They made a striking pair and
repeated their magic in films like "Kaakha Kaakha" and "Perazhagan".
When Sivakumar announced their wedding date, both Suriya and
Jyothika were busy shooting for their under-production film "Chillunnu
Oru Kaadhal".
This may be their last film together because Jyothika plans to
retire from acting after marriage.
The industry, in fact, has been expecting the wedding
announcement after Jyothika declined some offers recently and
returned the advance amount she had received from a Telugu
producer."
