'Bommarillu' is biggest Telugu audio hit
By B. Anuradha, Indo-Asian News Service
Hyderabad, Aug 11 (IANS) After a considerable gap, young
composer Devisri Prasad regains the top slot with his peppy
album "Bommarillu".
The top five Telugu albums are:
1. "Bommarillu" - "We have a Romeo" and "Kani ippudu"
stand out among the youth-targeting compositions. It remains to
be seen whether the album can outdo the
composer's earlier hits "Varsham" and "Arya".
2. "Veedhi" - Upcoming composer Anoop Rubens relies on
beat rather than melody, but still impresses with a different
album. "Cheliya cheliya" and "Jennifer Lopez" sound catchy.
3. "Andala Ramudu" - Tamil composer S.A. Rajkumar, known
for musical hits like "Nuvvu Vasthavani" and "Raja", resorts
again to melody. "Chini chini asaluna" and "Jabilee
raave" are soothing.
4. "Pokiri" - Even after 120 days, Mani Sharma's
delightful tunes still hold interest. "Jala jala paruthuna" and
"Dole dole' are sought after numbers.
5. "Amma Chepindi" - The album is listed here purely for
the experimentation by ace composer Keeravani. "Dash dash" and "Vasthava
natho" are simple and interesting.
