By Swati R. Chaudhary, Indo-Asian News Service
Mumbai, June 14 (IANS) This go-getter is just two films old and yet defines versatility and adaptability in a different light.

After playing a young dreamer in his debut film "Popcorn Khao! Mast Ho Jao", Akshay Kapoor returns with "Alag", in which he plays a guy gifted with super powers with no hair on his body.
It has been a drastic transition for Akshay, reports Bollywood Trade.
"I play an 18-year-old guy with innocence of a 10-year-old. He is intellectual and unique. I wanted to understand my character in totality, which is why I shaved my eyebrows, locked myself in a room and disconnected my phone and TV, with absolutely no contact with the outside world," said Akshay.
"I wanted to understand the concept of isolation, to be able to do justice to my character. I did lots of research to get into the skin of the character. I also read two books on isolation 'Lord of the Fly' and 'Life of Pi'."
Working with a brilliant photographer and the beautiful Dia Mirza must have been great.
"My expectations are high though I am nervous also. Dia is a seasoned actress, and has always been helpful and encouraging," Akshay said.

Pritam pitching high notes
Riding high after the success of "Gangster - A Love Story", music director Pritam is not resting on his laurels. He has plenty of films in the pipeline, including "Pyaar Ke Side Effects".
"The songs are very fast and peppy, though there are one or two slow songs also. There's one qawwali along with two love songs in the film, actually it's more like qawwali in a dance format.
"The songs are very clubby and racy. My favourite is 'Jaane kya chahe mann' sung by Zubeen," Pritam said.
The cult song 'Dhoom machale' from "Dhoom" worked wonders for his career and Pritam shot to instant fame. He is also composing music for "Dhoom 2", a sequel to "Dhoom", reports Bollywood Trade.
"I am happy that the song did so well, but very honestly I am extremely worried and apprehensive about 'Dhoom 2'. The expectation levels rise high and tend to double when the former becomes a hit. I hope I can meet and live up to the expectations of people."
He also has "Apna Sapna Money Money", "Naksha", and "Pirate" in his kitty.
