Sanjay-Arshad teams up for 'Anthony Kaun Hai'
By Manissha Despaande, Indo-Asian News Service
Mumbai, Feb 19 (IANS) The Sanjay Dutt-Arshad Warsi jodi, who tickled audiences' funny bones with their perfect comic timing in "Munnabhai M.B.B.S", will be seen in another hilarious flick "Anthony Kaun Hai" besides the sequel to
"Munnabhai M.B.B.S".

"Anthony Kaun Hai" marks producer Nikhil Panchamiya's foray into big-time filmmaking after his moderate production debut with "Dil Maange More". It will be directed by Panchamiya's one-time colleague and friend, Raj Kaushal, and will be extensively shot in a 45-day schedule on Krabi beach in Thailand, reports Bollywood Trade.
"It is a comedy thriller based in Thailand with an extraordinary story line. It was Raj Kaushal who came up with this brilliant idea and I was game for it," says Panchamiya.
He says the credit for getting Sanjay to sign the film and give priority dates goes entirely to Arshad.
"We owe it to Arshad for Sanjay's presence in the film and his initiative to give priority dates for the film. Had it not been for him, we would have had to wait for another one year for Sanju's dates."
Minissha Lamba, Anuradha Dandekar, Gulshan Grover, Raghuveer Yadav and a host of other artistes will be seen in the film. Written by Shoumik Sen, it has Himesh Reshammiya's rocking musical score, with Hemant Chaturvedi doing the cinematography.

Dayal says he is not capitalising Daya Nayak controversy
Actor-producer Amitabh Dayal, who played the role of ace encounter specialist Daya Nayak in "Kagaar", is busy gearing up for "Kagaar-2" but says the sequel will not capitalise on the controversy related to the police officer.
The film, which is being produced by his company Mad's Media Entertainment and directed by Mrinalini (who produced "Kagaar"), has generated a great deal of curiosity with encounter specialist Daya Nayak hitting the headlines in the recent past, reports Bollywood Trade.
"The truth is that the sequel to 'Kagaar' was planned way back. Besides we have our own perception of how we'd like to project the character since it is merely inspired from Nayak's character. Tomorrow if the controversy about him dies down, it doesn't mean we'll abandon the idea of going ahead with the sequel," says Dayal.
What intrigued most people though are the sequences depicting the raids and the suspension of Nayak in "Kagaar", which bear a striking resemblance to the developments that transpired in the recent past.
"Some people thought that we had actually prophesied what was going to happen but it is sheer coincidence. We had our own conjecture about how the story would progress and it is a sheer coincidence that they bear a striking resemblance to the film," says Dayal.
He refused to divulge whether the new film will project the character in an altogether new light but admits that he is all excited about playing the character in the sequel.
