I'm extremely happy for Salman: Ravi Chopra
By Manissha Despaande, Indo-Asian News Service
Mumbai, April 16 (IANS) Filmmaker Ravi Chopra, whose film "Babul" with
Salman Khan is nearing completion, is among the many friends and well-wishers celebrating the actor's release on bail.

"Besides the fact that he is part of my film, he is also a great friend. I am extremely happy about
Salman's release not so much for my film as the fact that he has come unscathed out of this crisis. I personally think the judgment has been too harsh on him," Chopra was quoted as saying by
Bollywood Trade.
He adds that he is in no mad hurry to restart the shooting of his film, despite
Salman's busy schedule. The actor has been sentenced to five years in prison by a court in Jodhpur for poaching a chinkara deer.
"I wish for him that he gets things in order and settles down to a peaceful life before we plan the next schedule of the film. I am in no mad rush and I don't see any reason to get panicky about things," he says.

Suneil Shetty: time to sit down, rediscover
Suniel Shetty has decided to cut down on his acting assignments and go on a one-year sabbatical. The actor's announcement comes in the wake of his decision to say no to Rituparno Ghosh's "Rahgeer".
"I wouldn't like to make a comment on 'Rahgeer'. The producers have already made a statement to that effect, but, yes, I have decided to go slow on acting. For the next one year, I intend to take my own time reading scripts. It is something that I have been planning for a long time," Suneil told Bollywood Trade.
Interestingly, only a month ago he had expressed a keen desire to be part of Rituparno's film, saying it would give him scope to reinvent himself as an actor. One of the stories doing the rounds is he wasn't quite convinced about his role in the film after he read the script.
Currently Suneil has a line-up of four promising films - Subhash Ghai's "Apna Sapna Money Money", Dharmesh Darshan's "Aap Ki Khatir", J.P. Dutta's "Umrao Jaan" and Mani Shankar's "Mukhbir".
"Apart from these films, I feel it is time to sit down and seriously rediscover myself as an actor. That's why the break," he says.
