Salman to sing for 'Babul'
By Manissha Despaande, Indo-Asian News Service
Mumbai, March 27 (IANS) Music director Aadesh Shrivastava seems to be fast becoming a Salman Khan favourite and has cajoled him into singing a sentimental number in Ravi Chopra's "Babul".

However, it was producer-director Ravi Chopra who took the initiative and came up with the idea of Salman rendering his voice for the film, reports Bollywood Trade.
"It is a sensitive father-son number that is to be picturised on Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) and Salman. Aadesh recorded Amitji's voice for his part earlier and I felt it would be good if Salman croons his part too. He liked the number and did not think twice before giving his nod," Chopra says.
Right now Salman is rehearsing for the song with the music director.
"He is planning to rehearse for the next few days before he gets the right range and modulation in his voice that can match Amitji's range," Chopra said.

Sharman gets choosy with N. Chandra
It appears that N. Chandra's trilogy after "Style" and "Excuse Me", will probably be made without Sharman Joshi as the actor is 'evading' appointments with Chandra.
Sharman, who is fresh out of the "Rang De Basanti" hangover, is playing hard to get and has indirectly expressed his disinterest in the film, reports Bollywood Trade.
However, when asked, Sharman sounded non-committal about the development.
"I have no idea about the film that Chandra is planning nor have I been approached for it. If he does approach me, there is no reason why I shouldn't do it. However, the bottom line for choosing a film will always be its script, irrespective of everything else," said Sharman.
Chandra was not available for comments.
