Navin Nischol in police custody till May 6

Mumbai, April 29 (IANS) A local court Saturday remanded former Bollywood actor Navin Nischol and his brother in police custody till May 6 for allegedly abetting the suicide of his wife

Navin and his brother Pravin were arrested late Friday by local
police in connection with Geetanjali's suicide. The court sent
them in police remand for further investigation in the case,
said police sources.
Geetanjali hung herself at her central Mumbai residence April
22. In her suicide statement, she had allegedly blamed Navin and
Pravin for forcing her to take the extreme step.
Naveen Nischol's wife hangs herself to death

Mumbai, April 23 (IANS) Bollywood actor Naveen Nischol's wife Geetanjali committed suicide Saturday night, police said Sunday.
Geetanajli hanged herself to death as she could not cope up with the financial and mental pressures after she, along with her husband, was thrown out of their house by her brother-in-law Pravin a few months ago, according to police.
Before the family dispute, Geetanajali and Nischol, a veteran actor of yesteryears, had been leading a comfortable life in their luxurious house in Khar, an upmarket residential neighbourhood of Mumbai.
They, however, were living in destitution for the last couple of months.
