Naseer loves his villainous act in 'Krrish'
By Manissha Despaande, Indo-Asian News Service

Mumbai, June 1 (IANS) Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah plays a hardcore villain in "Krrish" starring Hrithik Roshan and says for the first time he will not end up looking out of place.

"I don't know how, but the credit entirely goes to (filmmaker and Hrithik's dad) Rakesh Roshan. I think he's presented the character remarkably well on screen."

He was slightly reluctant to take up this role, not knowing how it would turn out to be on screen. However, he enjoyed working with the father-son duo, reports Bollywood Trade.

"I really enjoyed being with the Roshans. They are both very nice and hardworking. Also, there was a comfort level that we shared, which made working with them a truly pleasurable experience," said Naseer.

Naseer had played the bad man in Rajiv Rai's "Mohra".

Rakesh Roshan laughs off plagiarism charge
By Arpana, Indo-Asian News Service

New Delhi, May 4 (IANS) Director Rakesh Roshan Thursday said he was amused by filmmaker Ivan Rana's claim that his film "Krrish" was a lift.

According to Rana, he wrote a story - "Superhero" - in 2003 and showed it to Roshan, who asked him to leave the details with him. Later when Rana contacted him, he alleges Roshan refused to film the story.

However, Rana didn't register the story anywhere. Now he says he is shocked to see the promos of "Krrish", which has the same storyline that he showed Roshan.

"I am laughing at it and don't want to give importance to it," Roshan told IANS on phone from Mumbai Thursday.

A source from the Roshan camp said: "Rana is doing all this for publicity and there is no truth in his claims."

Rana has told reporters: "I had also written about a wire technology from Hong Kong. Even the superhero mask I'd designed has been used."

If he files a case and succeeds in satisfying the court with evidence, the July release of "Krrish" may be stalled.

Last year Nagesh Kukunoor's critically acclaimed film "Iqbal" had also been accused of plagiarism. A Delhi boy had claimed that the film's plot was stolen from a story penned by him.

Priyanka glad to be back after being stranded
By Subhash K. Jha, Indo-Asian News Service

Mumbai, Oct 14 (IANS) Priyanka Chopra is glad to be back home, especially after she was forced to spend a harrowing night at Delhi airport because her flight could not land here.

Priyanka was shooting with Hrithik Roshan in Malaysia for "Krissh" and had got two days off. Both rushed back to India only to be stranded midair after their plane could not land because  a grounded Sahara plane was blocking the runway at Mumbai airport on Oct 9 evening.

Recalling the incident Priyanka shudders, "It was a nightmare. Here I was in Mumbai for just two days with a million appointments and story sessions lined up. The last thing I could afford was to be hovering over Mumbai for nearly an hour. Then suddenly we were told that the flight couldn't land. So we were flown off to Delhi.

"Can you imagine? We had to spend nearly the whole night in Delhi airport and then catch an early morning flight back to Mumbai. I hope I never have to go through something like this again. Fortunately Duggu (Hrithik) and his dad were with me. They looked after me so well. Otherwise can you imagine being stranded in Delhi airport on my own?"

In fact that's exactly what would've happened as per the original plan.

"Duggu wasn't supposed to come back with me. He decided to give wife Suzanne a surprise. Thank god for his last-minute decision to come back. I don't know what I'd have done otherwise," Priyanka said while recounting her experience to IANS.
