'Munnabhai 2nd Innings' eagerly anticipated

Mumbai, May 27 (IANS) There is another three months to go before the Aug 25 release of Rajkumar Hirani's sequel to the hilarious "Munnabhai M.B.B.S.", but the film has become hot property among distributors.

According to Nizam distributor Ravi Machchar, who recently acquired "Munnabhai 2nd Innings", and happened to see the rushes of the film, it is a laugh riot and has got the best of the electrifying chemistry between Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi.

"It is entertaining to the core and rich in its production values. Also, the new addition in Vidya Balan is definitely a welcome change," he was quoted as saying by Bollywood Trade. 

The producers are also said to be getting queries from enterprising south producers, who have evinced keen interest in the remaking rights of the sequel. The Telugu remaking rights of the original version were reportedly sold for a whopping Rs.17 million. The film, "Shankar Dada", proved to be a big hit.

Mumbai, May 6 (IANS) This monsoon, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will once again tickle his fans red with their antics in "Munnabhai 2nd Innings" releasing Aug 25. 

 
The film focuses on another episode of Munna and Circuits's lie and their encounter with the truth, reports Bollywood Trade.

In the second chapter, Sanjay plays a good-hearted goon and woos Vidya Balan. Boman Irani and Jimmy Shergill and Diya Mirza are also part of the comic caper. 

It seems the writer-producer-director team of "Munnabhai M.B.B.S." - Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani - will wield their magic once again.

Sushma Reddy out of name game

Guess what is driving Sushma Reddy up the wall these days? The actress is annoyed the way people are messing up with her name - while some write it as Sushhama others spell it Sushama, reports Bollywood Trade. 

"To keep the trend of making my name numerologically compatible, I had attempted to drop my last name, and added an A and H to my first name, but the media continues to print my first name as well as my last name thereby creating utter confusion," said Sushma.

"To add to my woes, my friends too have joined in and they too purposely misspell my name. It has become a long tongue twister and has led to chaos. So I am now going back to my good old name 'Sushma Reddy'. I hope this will end all the doubts in everybody's mind," she added.

Sushma was seen with Anil Kapoor in Vivek Agnihotri's "Chocolate".

Anuj's 'Lips' gets censor clearance

Television artist Anuj Saxena's much delayed film "Lips - The Kiss Of Death" has finally got an 'A' certificate from the censor, but at the cost of major sex scenes.

Director Sameer Malkan had to chop off all the sleazy sequences from the film to satisfy the board, reports Bollywood Trade. 

However, Anuj is too busy to loose sleep over "Lips". He is currently working on the casting of his production house's first film for which talks are on with Madhuri Dixit. He is also preparing for the serial "Rishto Ki Dorr" going on air May 15 and apart from that, his pharmaceutical business keeps him extremely tied up. 

Anuj teams up with Maushmi Udeshi in the film, which has been shot entirely in New York. Since the censors have cleared the film, chances are "Lips" may see the light of the day soon.
