Salman's 'Jaan-e-Man' picked up for record sum
By Nitin N. Sethi, Indo-Asian News Service
Mumbai, June 22 (IANS) Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is looking pleased as punch with his upcoming film "Jaan-e-Man" starring Salman Khan being picked up by a distributor for a record sum of Rs.70.4 million.

The deal has surprised the film fraternity because it is more than twice the amount paid for the Aamir Khan-starrer "Rang De Basanti", which was sold at Rs.30.5 million, and also much higher than the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Main Hoon Na", reported Bollywood Trade.
The deal could change the economics of the Hindi film industry, experts say.
"Records are meant to be broken. We believe we have a good product in our hand. Besides we had a good association with Ashtavinayak Films since 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' days," said Sajid Nadiadwala.
Analysts say "Jaan-e-Man" fetched an exorbitant price because of its star cast Salman and Akshay Kumar, who were seen together in "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi". Their on-screen chemistry in the film was described to be mind blowing.
