Rajshri's 'Vivah' on floors

Mumbai, Dec 23 (IANS) The shooting of Rajshri Productions' latest venture "Vivah", starring Shahid Kapur and Amrita Rao, has begun in full swing.
The film also has Anupam Kher, Aloknath, Seema Biswas, Samir Soni, Lata Sabharwal,
Manoj Joshi, Amrita Prakash, Dinesh Lamba and Master Amey Pandya among others.

"I am happy all my actors and technicians are giving me their very best," says director Sooraj Barjatya.
The film is being produced by Kamal Kumar, Rajkumar and Ajit Kumar Barjatya. Story-screenplay-direction is by Sooraj Barjatya and lyrics and music are by Rajshri's old favourite Ravindra Jain.

A treat for street children
A popular restaurant here came alive with the laughter of little children when singer Madhushree hosted a party for street kids there.
The event saw over 20 children enjoy a musical evening in the convivial ambience of Caravan Serai and authentic northwestern frontier delicacies dished out by Chef Riyaz Ahmed, reports Bollywood Trade.
Madhushree and her friends regaled the audiences with her foot-tapping numbers during the informal get-together.
"Music transcends all barriers, and a musical evening, to my mind, was the best way to keep the little minds happy. I think this is something that each one of us should do... give back to society what we have received from it," said Madhushree.
Members of music fraternity and other Bollywood personalities including Shoma Ghosh, N. Chandra, Brij Bhushan, Ravindra Jain, Sapna Mukherji and Mahendra Kapoor joined the singer.

Pooja, Akshay sell art for a cause
Pooja Bhatt and Akshay Kumar conducted art sale for a day to help bring art awareness and also aid Vivek Oberoi's charity organisation called the Yashodhara Oberoi Foundation.
Supporting the cause of art and Vivek's charity, Pooja and Akshay enlightened art aficionados by informing them about art and helped them choose it as an investment at the Ashish Balram Nagpal Art Gallery, Juhu, reports Bollywood Trade.
Talking about his charity work, Vivek said: "It is a pleasure to be associated with such a programme as it promotes two things that are very dear to my heart - art and charity.
"I like to call it Art for Hearts, as part of the proceeds collected will be donated to the Yashodhara Oberoi Foundation for the various causes that it supports, from heart surgery for poor children with ailing hearts to the empowerment of women."

'Hot And Sour' launched
The film "Hot And Sour" was launched at the Venus Recording studios, Juhu, with a recording by music director Bappi Lahiri.
The evergreen music-maker was teaming up for the first time with singer Adnan Sami. Alisha Chinai was also there to sing some soulful numbers for the film, reports Bollywood Trade.
At the film's launch, producer Vinod Guliani, who is also a fashion photographer, said: "'Hot And Sour' is about how crime doesn't pay and, with every life a contract killer takes, he brings to life live bullets that want to take his life..."

Amit moves to big screen with 'Detective Nani'
After playing the love interest of Kittu in "Kittu Sab Janti Hai" on Sahara Television it's now films for Amit Verma. He will be playing the lead role in Romila Mukherjee's film "Detective Nani".
This film is a crossover film that talks about the life of people in a residential complex. This film is a thriller and has a commercial aspect to it.
"I play the character of a woman charmer. I am this athletic cool dude-natured person who has a very attractive personality," says Amit.
The film, shot in real locations, also stars Shweta Gulati, Amrita Saliya and Ankur Naykar. Romila and singer Jolie Mukherjee produce the film.
