Portman courts controversy with new movie
Indo-Asian News Service
London, Feb 27 (IANS) Actress Natalie Portman is hoping her new film "V For Vendetta" will provoke controversy and make people re-examine their views on terrorism.
According to contactmusic.com, Portman had to shave her head for the role in the movie that focuses on a terrorist plot to blow up London's Houses Of Parliament. The "Closer" star considers the movie's subject matter serious and is hoping the political storyline becomes a common talking point.
She says: "It is about a totalitarian government, but I also hope that it shifts your window on defining terrorism. No one would have said that is was wrong to blow up a building that Hitler was in, for example. People would have hailed that person as a hero."
