Bono, Sting and Cave rework classic tunes of 'Pirates' movie
Indo-Asian News Service
London, June 22 (IANS) Rockers Bono, Sting and Nick Cave are some of the stars who reworked classic pirates tunes for a new album inspired by the movie "Pirates Of The Caribbean".
According to contactmusic.com, other singers working on the double album "Rogues Gallery" include Bryan Ferry, Jarvis Cocker and Rufus Wainwright. The album contains 43 songs and the idea was conceived by Gore Verbinski who directed "Pirates Of The Caribbean".
He says: "I slowly became fascinated by the idea of a contemporary reinterpretation of the sea chantey. I imagined the artists that I listen to and respect doing their take on this age-old music."
