Pitt, Jolie consider moving to France

New York, Dec 31 (IANS) Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are keen to buy a home in France, and have seen a 127-year-old property once owned by legendary fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent.

The "Mr and Mrs Smith" co-stars, who found love in the wake of Pitt's split from former "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston, are reportedly keen to follow the footsteps of actor partners Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis and make the European country their permanent base, reports hollywood.com. 

The luxury property, named Chateau Gabriel, has nine bedrooms and is situated along the Normandy coast.
 

Two held for trying to sell Lopez-Anthony video

New York, Dec 31 (IANS) Two men were arrested for trying to sell Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez's stolen wedding video back to them for $1 million. 

Tito Moses, 31, and Steven Wortman, 49, were charged in Manhattan Criminal Court on charges of conspiracy, attempted grand larceny and possession of stolen property, reports hollywood.com. 

The two stars married in June 2004.

According to a criminal complaint filed against them, Moses and Wortman sought and failed repeatedly to capitalise on the video, shopping it to media outlets including newspapers and magazines. 

After no deals were made with the media, the two men contacted Marc Anthony Productions in a ploy to sell it back to him.

During that time, Moses and Wortman demanded $1 million for the video, which was stored in a laptop stolen from Anthony's car in October. When the detective balked at the demands, the men threatened to destroy the video, the complaint says. 

The two men were finally arrested during a sting operation in which they reportedly thought they were selling the video.
  
Marcia Cross to play alcoholic on screen

London, Dec 31 (IANS) Actress's Marcia Cross' "Desperate Housewives" character Bree Van De Kamp is set to become an alcoholic as she struggles to cope with the death of her husband Rex.

According to contactmusic.com, Cross' character will be drinking a lot of wine in the episodes of 2006. The show's creator is hoping this will not be too big a shock for fans. 

He says: "It shouldn't entirely be a surprise for fans of the show - when Bree has tension, she grabs a glass (of wine). Chart it back and you will see so many moments where she just goes for the wine."
 
Campbell denies surgery

London, Dec 31 (IANS) British supermodel Naomi Campbell denies undergoing cosmetic surgery, saying that sobriety, exercise and her Ethiopian heritage are behind her good looks.

Contactmusic.com quoted Campbell as saying that she hates hearing rumours about how she has maintained her face and figure and insists that her natural approach to life helps her to look good. 

"I just take care of my body. I don't drink alcohol and I work out for two hours a day," she said. "I'm fed up with people saying I've had plastic surgery... I don't need it because black don't crack. My grandmother has fantastic genes and only has about one wrinkle."
 

Kidman ready to wed

London, Dec 31 (IANS) Rumours are abound that actress Nicole Kidman and singer Keith Urban might get married this weekend.

Ananova.com reported that the couple is still denying they are even dating. But according to the Sun, Kidman seems to be keen to beat her ex-husband Tom Cruise to get married. A friend of Kidman said, "She wants to have it over and done with before Tom Cruise's big day. Invitations have gone out and the wedding's happening this coming weekend."

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are set to marry in July and are expecting their first child.

 
Elton 'Hercules' John, says marriage certificate

London, Dec 31 (IANS) Sir Elton John's middle name is Hercules, states his marriage certificate.

According to ananova.com, Elton changed his name to Hercules when he changed his name from Reginald Kenneth Dwight. Elton took part in a civil partnership ceremony with David Furnish Dec 21.

The certificate shows that the pair's mothers were witnesses at the ceremony. Elton was listed as a musician and Furnish's occupation was stated as a filmmaker.
 
Victoria, Halliwell are friends again

London, Dec 31 (IANS) Former Spice Girls Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell have agreed to a truce with Halliwell being pregnant with her first child.

According to conactmusic.com, Beckham, a mother of three sons with David Beckham, took Halliwell to see ballet at London's Royal Opera House and shared tips for pregnancy and motherhood. 

The two had a falling out after Halliwell left the successful girl band in May 1998.
