London, June 29 (IANS) Actor Johnny Depp thinks many pirates indulged in gay sex after spending many months away from female company.
Depp, who plays Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean", says he completely understands why pirates would find comfort in their shipmates, contactmusic.com reported.
He said: "Pirates went to sea for years at a time. You're lonely... you have an extra ration of rum... cabin boy!"
