Gallagher brothers not on talking terms
London, Feb 20 Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher of the
rock band Oasis are feuding again and this time it is over
vocals.
Noel is telling his brother Liam to get his vocals in line or
they won't record another album. Noel is also angry the way Liam
behaved at the BRIT awards recently and the two are not on
talking terms now, reports ananova.com.
The band performed two songs at the awards function but Liam was
not getting the notes right and that upset Noel.
A source said: "Noel had some harsh words for Liam after the
show. He thought Liam's voice was too nasal. He reckons his
singing is becoming more pub karaoke than professional.
"The band had their own sound team so there was no excuse for
Liam not being on the money. The arguments have rumbled on since
and they're barely speaking."

a few (cheesy chat-up lines). The worst has to be, 'Has
anyone ever told you that you look like Uma Thurman?'"

called the law of cupcakes. I decided I would only think
of cupcakes and then I wrote the word 'cupcake'. Lo and
behold, they began to appear everywhere. I got out of a
cab and there was a grand opening of a cupcake place. I
turned on CNN and there was a story about how cupcakes are
now all the rage.
"I got a present from my agent when I started this film, a
basket of cupcakes. And then, best of all, the first day
on set there was actually a crew guy walking round wearing
a T-shirt with a cupcake on it.

plays and they're quite fun - it's watching a play that's
utter misery. That's why I couldn't really justify going
on acting in the theatre because I just knew that these
poor b**tards had paid a lot of money and were having a
horrible time sitting out there and watching the play.
"Let's be honest, one in 50 visits to the theatre is
actually fun. The other 49 times, you're thinking: 'bring
on my gin and tonic in the intermission'."

Britney Spears back in rehab
Los Angeles, Feb 21 Britney Spears, who checked
herself into Eric Clapton's Crossroads Centre clinic on
the Caribbean island of Antigua last week and stayed only
for 24 hours, is back in rehab.
She decided to go to a rehab clinic after family members,
including her mother, pressed her to do so. She has
checked herself into an inpatient facility in Los Angeles,
reports www.hollywood.tv.
A representative of the singer said: "Spears has
voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab
facility today. We ask the media to respect her privacy as
well as those of her family and friends at this time."
There may be one more reason Spears hasn't been herself
lately. Spears' aunt Wanda Bridges told the press that she
had been greatly saddened by the death of her aunt Sandra
Bridges Covington, 59, who succumbed to cancer last month
and with whom she was very close.
Spears' former assistant Felicia Culotta said the pop star
was headed for "rock bottom".
Since filing for divorce from Kevin Federline in November,
Spears has drawn criticism for her drinking, partying and
sloppy appearance - including a public display of her
private parts and collapsing of exhaustion on New Year's
Eve and shaving off her long locks to rebel against her
mother.
Spears mother Lynne flew to tinseltown last week to be
with her daughter - and to help take care of Spears' kids,
18-month-old Sean Preston and five-month-old Jayden James. |

Clooney says Oscar win doesn't equal power
London, March 12 Actor George Clooney admitted that
winning an Oscar has not increased the power he holds in
Hollywood.
Clooney won a best supporting Oscar in 2006 for his role
in "Syriana". He admitted that winning an award was
exciting but is not going to try harder to win again,
reports contactmusic.com.
He says: "There is an interesting thing that happens when
you win an Oscar. There is this great celebration. You're
really excited. You call all your friends. Your friends
have called you. That part takes about a day. But it
doesn't make any difference.
"I can't carry my Oscar with me to the studio. It's still
just as difficult to get a seven million dollar film or a
70 million dollar film financed. I can tell the Oscar
night was a hell of a night. The party was a lot of fun.
But I'm telling you I won't gain 40 pounds like I did for
'Syriana' in the hopes of winning an Oscar."
