'Harry Potter' screened in space
Indo-Asian News Service
New York, Nov 24 (IANS) "Harry Potter" isn't just entertaining fans on earth. He travelled all the way to International Space Station to cheer up NASA astronaut Commander William McArthur!
McArthur got a very special viewing of "Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire" this week, thanks to Warner Bros Pictures and US space agency NASA who sent the film 220 miles above earth, said a press statement from the production house.
McArthur is working and living on the station as part of a six-month mission. As part of NASA's regular assistance to long-duration space flight crewmembers, NASA contacted the makers of "Harry Potter" movies in the hope that they might work some magic and help the commander see the latest in the series while still in space.
McArthur and flight engineer Valery Tokarev make up the 12th crew of the station, which has had a continuous human presence for more than five years.
The station has an internal volume larger than an average three-bedroom house and includes the most sophisticated space laboratory ever flown.
