Kutcher's company to create first Internet stars

New York, Feb 16 (IANS) Internet giant AOL has recruited Ashton Kutcher's production company, Katalyst Films, to create virtual characters for their Instant Messaging community.
According to hollywood.com, AOL, whose messaging service AIM is used by 43 million people worldwide, will work with Katalyst, co-owned by actor Kutcher and his partner Jason Goldberg, to develop five controversial personas who will feature in the online community.
Goldberg said: "We are creating the first Internet stars using the tools that the Internet offers."
He further added: "It will be somebody the audience will be shocked by. If AOL doesn't express concern at some point about the project, then we're not doing our jobs."
