DiCaprio surprised by his popularity in Africa
London, Jan 8 Leonardo DiCaprio, who has just won rave
reviews for his roles in "The Departed" and "Blood Diamond", was
shocked to find out how famous he was even in Africa.
DiCaprio finds it hard to believe the amount of fame "Titanic"
has actually earned him. He insists his accomplishments as an
actor are different from his everyday life, reports
contactmusic.com.
Speaking about his popularity in Africa, he told a magazine: "I
had no idea and it was funny at times because we'd walk into
stores and they'd have, like, Titanic cologne with my face on
it. Key chains and stuff like that!
"But how do you react to something like that? It's an image
that's separate from you as a person. It's reflective of
something you did as an actor, certainly, but I don't know how
to react to things like that as a person."
Huffman misses overwhelmed mother's role
London, Jan 8 Felicity Huffman, the award winning
actress of "Desperate Housewives", misses playing the
overwhelmed mother Lynette Scavo in the latest series.
In the latest instalment, Lynette (Huffman) features as a
glamorous career woman. But Huffman feels she preferred
her character's original image because it represented
everyday common problems that come with parenting.
Contactmusic.com quoted her as saying: "I wanted an
example of motherhood that addressed the madness,
depression, rage, loss, wonder and love. I do regret we've
moved on from that because it's so true - and there aren't
many examples of it on TV. But I think a year of playing
an overwhelmed mother is enough."

Stefani cried onstage while pregnant
New York, Jan 8 Singer Gwen Stefani realised that
she was not as strong as she thought because she used to
cry on stage during her pregnancy.
People.com quoted Stefani as saying: "I thought I was
going to be one of those Mother Nature girls, I figured,
I'll just squeeze it out, 'cause I'm really strong and I
work out and stuff..."
She added: "I would be seriously crying before I went
onstage, I didn't know how I was going to get through the
tour, putting on nine costume changes on a stage in front
of 12,000 people every night. And I didn't want people to
know (I was pregnant). I didn't want to become the Gwen
Freak Circus Show - 'Watch it grow onstage'."

Sally Field confesses she is a loser in love
New York, Jan 8 Oscar winning actress Sally Field,
who also starred in "Forrest Gump", believes she was not
so lucky with love.
Pagesix.com quoted her as saying: "My (two) marriages were
destructive. They just wore you down until you had no
worth. Whatever a soul mate is, I've never had that."
Field will turn 60 soon and she has three sons and two
grand daughters. She says her next goal is to get a
bachelor's degree.
She added: "I desperately want to go to college, but I'm
terrified of taking the SATs. Sometimes I think I may

psychology."

Depp obsessed with Hunter character
New York, Jan 8 Author Denis Miekle claims that
Johnny Depp was so obsessed with the Hunter S. Thompson
character that he stole things from his wardrobe and
garage.
Miekle made this claim in his new book "Johnny Depp: A
Kind of Illusion", reports pagesix.com.
Director Terry Gilliam, who directed Depp in "Fear and
Loathing", based on journalist Hunter S. Thompson's life,
said: "Johnny spent a lot of time with him and basically
stole a lot of his clothing and his car, which were then
used in the movie."
Meikel also suggests that Depp might have become just
another Hollywood phony because he was once an outspoken
rebellious personality in the filmdom.
Miekle said: "Of late, his comments have sounded
increasingly anodyne and indistinguishable from those of
any other cog in the wheel of the dollar-hungry Hollywood
machine.
"Every screenplay is the best, every story the most
interesting, every producer-director the most brilliant to
work with, every co-star the most fascinating to work
alongside. It's like a tape playing on a continuous loop,
with only the names interchanging. Same old, same old."
