MacLaine kept her virtue in Hollywood

London, Feb 22 (IANS) Movie legend Shirley MacLaine believes she is one of the very few in Hollywood who has not slept with anyone to further her career.
According to contactmusic.com, the actress, who has won one Academy Award, says she never wanted to ruin her reputation with a sex symbol status.
She says: "You know I have never had a casting couch proposition in my life. I thought there was something wrong with me. Men always know if you are going to laugh at them, which I would if they did."
She adds: "It is nice not to have a career that's based on being a sex object anyway. When I was 20, I saw myself as a character actor and I still do now."
