Lucas to star as Hitchcock

London, Feb 1 (IANS) Actor Matt Lucas is to star as Alfred Hitchcock in a movie about the film director.

According to ananova.com, Lucas has been signed on to appear in the film, which will focus on Hitchcock's early life in East End of London. Ewan McGregor will also appear in the film and the shooting is expected to begin later this year. 

A source says: "Matt is the perfect choice. Their physical similarities are uncanny and he is a big fan of Hitch's movies. It is his first major film role and he is looking forward to going on to the big screen."
