'Geisha' release delayed over sex scene

New York, Jan 19 (IANS) Chinese censors have delayed the release of "Memoirs Of A Geisha" for the second time over a sex scene.

According to Internet Movie Database, the movie was originally set to debut in Beijing on Jan 9 but was delayed until Feb 10. A Sony Pictures executive confirmed censorship was the issue and that a few seconds of footage had to be cut.

The release of the movie is highly anticipated and it stars two of China's best-known actors, Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi.
