New Bond film plot shocks shooting victim's family

London, Feb 15 (DPA) The family of a Brazilian man, mistakenly shot dead by British security forces last year, has launched a campaign against the upcoming James Bond film, "Casino Royale".
According to previews of the plot of the film, the new 007, played for the first time by British actor Daniel Craig, also mistakenly shoots the wrong man in a scene inspired by the killing of the Brazilian man on a London Underground train.
The family of the killed immigrant Jean Charles de Menezes were said to be "shocked" by the plot, a spokesman for the relatives said. The tragic death of the 27-year-old should not be marketed as a Hollywood plot, the spokesman said.
The production company has not commented on the issue.
Menezes was mistaken for a suicide bomber and shot dead shortly after a series of terrorist attacks killed more than 50 people in London on July 7, 2005. The exact circumstances of the shooting still remain in the dark.
