Winfrey helps nab sex offender

Los Angeles, Oct 11 (IANS) The popular TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey helped catch a child sex offender when she posted the photo of the man on her daily TV show.
Winfrey posted the picture of the man Williams C. Davis and requested viewers to call the show if they had any information on him, Internet Movie Database reported. She also offered $100,000 reward for any information that would help in apprehending him.
The man was recognized by a woman in the state of Minnesota as her neighbour. But he went by the name of Mark. She immediately called the police and was arrested. Davis now faces felony charges of molesting three boys in Indiana and also failing to register as a sex offender.
Jen Rosenthal, the viewer who called the police, said she was surprised when she discovered the true identity of Davis. She had been helping him by taking care of him after he had a car accident.
Encouraged by this latest achievement, Winfrey now is posting pictures of wanted sex offenders on her website Oprah.com and offering rewards for their capture.
