Oscar winning actor Jamie
Foxx and other Hollywood movie news :
Foxx struggled with emotional scene
London, Dec 14 Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx was unable
to control himself when he was filming an emotional scene with
his co-star Jennifer Hudson for
"Dreamgirls".
Foxx was overcome with emotion when Hudson moved him by her
singing. Foxx had to keep reminding himself that he was an Oscar
winner and he should remain
professional, reports contactmusic.com.
He explained: "I'll never forget when Jennifer Hudson was
singing that song and I'm supposed to be this mean, tough dude.
"She's singing it so good, I'll be welling up and stuff, I'm
like, 'You gotta hold it together. You got an Oscar. You got to
be better than this!' I've got the Oscar and I'm up there
(crying) saying, 'Oh my goodness, this is so incredible."
Lopez, Carrey becoming Scientologists?
New York, Dec 14 Hollywood stars Jennifer Lopez and
Jim Carrey, who raised some speculation when they were
invited to the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie
Holmes, are apparently linked to the Church of
Scientology.
Pagesix.com quoted a source saying: "Jim is taking the
introductory and beginner's courses right now."
Another source said that Lopez is a close friend of
Scientologist Leah Remini and has started using
Scientology phrases and explains the church to people.
"Leah and Jennifer have been friends for years, and Leah
has always talked to her about the church without
pressuring her. We can see Scientology appealing to
Jennifer
because, in the early stages, it is a lot of self-help".
Some observers say that Lopez is unable to conceive and
could be turning to Scientology for help in having a baby.
But Lopez's representative refused to comment, saying: "I
have no knowledge of this, but I probably wouldn't have a
comment on it if I did."
A mouthpiece for Carrey insisted, "He is not taking
classes."

Gallagher accuses Greenday of plagiarism
London, Dec 14 Oasis singer Noel Gallagher has
accused Greenday of "ripping off" his song "Wonderwall".
Gallagher claims that Greenday's hit song "Boulevard of
broken dreams" sounds like "Wonderwall". Gallagher has
always been critical of Greenday but got really upset
when he heard their hit song.
Contactmusic.com quoted him as saying: "If you listen,
you'll find it is exactly the same arrangement as 'Wonderwall'.
They should have the decency to wait until I am dead
(before stealing my songs). I, at least, pay the people I
steal from that courtesy.
"They consider themselves to be - and I quote - 'a
kick-ass rock 'n' roll band'. They could not be less
kick-ass if they tried."

British terms confused Cameron Diaz
Indo-Asian News Service
London, Dec 14 (IANS) Actress Cameron Diaz was confused
while promoting her latest movie "The Holiday" in Britain
because the media kept referring to her romantic
comedy as "rom-com".
Diaz plays a woman from Los Angeles who exchanges homes
with Kate Winslet and ends up staying in England to get
over an ugly break-up, reports contactmusic.com.
She says: "It's a 'rom-com' as they call it in England. I
don't know why they like to abbreviate, but they do. They
say 'rom-com' and I'm like, 'What are you talking about?'
What's a rom-com?'
"The 'blonde' came out. It's like there was an attack:
'We're going to Rom Com four!' Once I got it clear I was
able to sell the movie!"

Clooney thanks dad for advice
London, Dec 14 Hollywood actor George Clooney is
grateful to his father for warning him that the media will
go from loving to hating to loving him.
Clooney became famous in the 90s for his role in "ER" but
was criticised for his attacks on US President W. George
Bush's party. But after winning an Oscar for his role in
"Syriana" and receiving critical acclaim for "Good Night,
And Good Luck", he is back to being loved.
Contactmusic.com quoted him as saying: "I think the secret
is always to remember - and my father (believed) this -
that over a period of time, people are going to be
incredibly kind to you, as well as incredibly cruel to
you. And they'll probably be overly kind and overly cruel.
"So, you have to find a way to define yourself, and not
worry about the rest of it."

Pitt is perfect papa: Angelina
DPA
Los Angeles, Dec 15 (DPA) Brad Pitt may be a gorgeous hunk
and great actor, but he's also a perfect dad, according to
girlfriend Angelina Jolie.
He often gets up early in the morning to take care of the
couple's three young children so that she can sleep in,
said Jolie on the TV show Good Morning America Thursday.
Jolie also revealed that the star couple was planning to
adopt more children to achieve a balance in their
"mixed-race family," which currently has five-year-old
Maddox adopted from Cambodia, 23-month-old daughter Zahara
adopted from Ethiopia, and six-month-old daughter Shiloh
born to the couple in May.
"I want Mad (Maddox) to know that as our family grew and
we all came together, we didn't just start having
children, biological children," the 31-year-old actress
said.
"Yes, we have Shiloh and it's been a wonderful experience.
But we want to find another brother or sister in the world
for our family.
"You know, now the questions are more when you have a
mixed-race family. Do you balance the races so there's
another African person in the house for Z? So there's
another Asian person in the house for Mad? Shiloh has Brad
and I she can look at," Jolie said.
"What's best for the children as they grow? We don't just
want to have different children from different countries.
That's not the point," she added.
Jolie said Pitt has made child-rearing fun.
"He really enjoys them (the kids). He woke up very, very
early this morning and let me sleep in because I had this
interview. (He was) dealing with the two girls and bottles
and food, which is not easy to do on his own, for quite a
few hours this morning so I could rest.
"He's just a really great partner, a great, great man,"
she said. |

Simpson continues to forget lines
New York, Dec 15 Pop singer Jessica Simpson is being
slammed by co-stars of her new movie "Working Girl"
because she keeps forgetting her lines.
It happened just days after she had forgotten the lines of
the song she was singing in tribute to country music
legend Dolly Parton. Simpson is working on the remake of
"Working Girl". And filmmakers seem to be frustrated with
her effort, reports hollywood.com.
A source from the set says: "After the seventh take on one
shot, the director hid a microphone in her ear so a crew
member could feed her lines. Everyone was embarrassed for
her, but she laughed it off, saying, 'I'm sorry, everyone.
I'm sorry'."
Her co-star Luke Wilson seemed to be a lot more
understanding and encouraged her by patting her on the
back and reassuring her that everything would be fine.

Scorsese interview features old information
New York, Dec 15 The recent interview of acclaimed
director Martin Scorsese in the Los Angeles Times had
two-year-old quotes.
Reporter Paul Lieberman could not get to interview
Scorsese. So Lieberman had to use quotes from his
interview with Scorsese that appeared in February 2005,
reports pagesix.com.
A friend said: "Marty is giving no interviews. He is hard
at work on the documentary about the Rolling Stones, and
doesn't have time.
"It is outrageous that the L.A. Times, which likes to
think it competes with the New York Times and the
Washington Post, would recycle a two-year-old interview
with Marty just so it looks like they have an
'exclusive'." |

their new movie "Blood Diamond".
They had to have snake wranglers on the sets to avoid
danger, according to contactmusic.com.

around. It was a tough shoot and we'd literally be in the

what
happened? Did I mess up my line?' 'No, black mamba, black
mamba.' A guy would run out with a stick, capture the

Los Angeles, Dec 16 Oscar winning actress Hilary Swank has
openly explained her divorce from actor Chad Lowe and says
its not the end of the world.

"Absolutely not, millions of men and women fall in love,
get married,
then get divorced. If what happened to me helps someone
realise they're in a great relationship and to hold the
person closer, then do it. If it makes someone realise
they're
in an unhealthy relationship that is making them both
unhappy, then it's not the end of the world."
On how she dealt with the split, she told people.com: "You
rely on your friends when you go through something so big.
My friends are my family."
