Anderson back to the beach with 'Malibu'
London, March 22 Actress Pamela Anderson is set to return
to TV by teaming up with "Baywatch" producers for a beachfront
show titled "Malibu".
Anderson is presently in pre-production plans to make a show
after her comedy "Stacked" was cancelled last year, reports
contactmusic.com.
She said: "One more TV show I think, maybe three more years on
the beach. I can't say no to the guys from 'Baywatch', they are
great to my kids. My schedule is built
around theirs, just a few days a week. I'm close to home - I
love the idea - flamingo kid meets 'Baywatch'. The show is
called 'Malibu'. I've come full circle - back to the
beach."
Federline's birthday bash cancelled
New York, March 22 Kevin Federline's birthday bash,
which was originally set to take place at the New York
nightclub Eleven, has been cancelled because the
sponsors backed out.
The nightclub was looking for a weekly magazine to sponsor
the party for pop singer Britney Spear's estranged
husband. But there were no takers and the smaller sponsors
slowly backed out, reports pagesix.com.
A representative of Federline said that it was he who
cancelled the party. Federline's party at a nightclub in
Las Vegas is still on.
His representative said: "He decided that one party was
enough. Federline is just focusing on his family right
now."

Johansson's heart beats for Woody Allen
New York, March 22 Actress Scarlett Johansson
says her heart belongs to 71-year-old legendary director
Woody Allen and she won't mind sewing his pants.
People.com quoted the 22-year-old as saying: "I'd sew the
hems of his pants if he asked me to."
Allen calls Johansson "criminally sexy" and adds, "While
she is a much stronger actress in every way, there is a
tiny bit of Marilyn Monroe in her."
Johansson's new movie, "The Nanny Diaries", opens next

was rumoured to be dating him while shooting the film.
But she denies the claims that they were romantically

together, but it's not like the first time I've ever hung

Combs says he is like circus ringleader Barnum
London, March 22 Sean Combs claims he is the
ringleader of hip-hop and compares himself to the
legendary circus personality P.T. Barnum.
He says he is not competing with other rappers but he
believes he succeeds because he has the ability "to get
people grooving", reports contactmusic.com.
Combs said: "I'm not going to say that, compared to
everyone else, I'm the best. I see myself more as P.T.
Barnum. I'm the ringleader of the circus - the producer,
the
entertainer, the dancer, the vibe motivator.
"I don't really compete with the other guys who say, 'I'm
going to lyrically massacre you.' I just like to get
people moving and grooving. But look at my career in black
and
white. It's undisputable. Look on Billboard at the three
pages of hits I've had.
"I'm not braggadocious - it's just important that you
state the facts when you talking about someone, and what
they mean, and who they are."

Elton John hits out against "homophobic abuse"
DPA
London, March 22 (DPA) British singer Elton John has urged
people to hit back at "homophobic abuse" and stand up for
basic human rights.
People were "persecuted" all over the world "just because
of who they love and who they make love to," Sir Elton
said in an article in Britain's New Statesman magazine
Thursday.
"We should all stand up and speak out for ... basic human
rights," he said. "We should shout back, whether the bigot
is in the pub or thousands of miles away."
Sir Elton, who turns 60 on Sunday, "married" his long-time
partner David Furnish in a civil partnership in 2005 - on
the first day such liaisons were possible under British
law.
The singer said the union was his legal and human right,
adding: "And I wanted everyone to know, I wanted to shout
about it."
"In some countries, my voice would have been drowned out.
Maybe even stamped out. Men and women are persecuted and
attacked every day all over the world, just
because of who they love and who they make love to."
Sir Elton cited the example of El Salvador gay rights
activist William Hernandez, who has been threatened at
gunpoint and suffered a raid on his organisation's
offices.
Last November Sir Elton criticised Australian Prime
Minister John Howard after his government overruled a
local law allowing gay unions.
The star is to play a record 60th concert at New York's
Madison Square Garden on his birthday on Sunday.

Los Angeles, March 22 Tom Cruise, who has
become closer to David and Victoria Beckham, is apparently
trying hard to convert the couple to Scientology and had
left 18 messages in an hour to get them to join the cult.
"Victoria is sick and tired of Cruise being on her back
about Scientology," a source told www.hollywood.tv.
Victoria is an old-fashioned British woman who believes in
god. She finds it quite rude that the Hollywood star is
bugging her so much.
"When she says no, she means no," added the source.
However, Cruise's representative denied the story, saying,
"This is completely false. Cruise does not and never has
encouraged anyone to adopt Scientology."
