Tom Cruise voted the tackiest star

New York, Nov 24 (IANS) Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has been named the tackiest star in a US newspaper poll.

According to hollywood.com, Cruise's infamous couch jumping act, declaring his love for Katie Holmes on the Oprah Winfrey show and his virulent rants against psychiatry have been credited for him topping the list. The list is voted by the readers. 

Cruise beat out the likes of Paris Hilton and Whitney Houston to the top spot. 

The top five are:

1. Tom Cruise 
2. Paris Hilton 
3. Whitney Houston + Bobby Brown 
4. Jude Law + Sienna Miller 
5. Anna Nicole Smith.
