Murray pays tribute to friend Belushi
Indo-Asian News Service
London, Oct 8 (IANS) Oscar-nominated actor Bill Murray has paid a tribute to John Belushi for being a pioneer in Hollywood and creating a path for later actors like him and others to succeed.
According to contactmusic.com, even though Murray has won critical praise for movies like "Rushmore" and "Lost In Translation," he says he owes his success to "The Blues Brothers" in which he co-starred with Belushi.
Says Murray: "I was able to follow people who were very powerful forces. You can't overestimate what an impact Belushi had. He was the icebreaker who went out and broke into the commercial world with fearlessness and artistic integrity that we could all copy. It made me confident that I didn't have to pimp myself out or grovel for work."
