Clooney getting more serious

Los Angeles, Oct 8 (IANS) Actor George Clooney is slowly forsaking comedy to tackle more serious and provoking political movies.
According to Internet Movie Database, he seems to be keen to show his more serious side and acting abilities. He made his start in Hollywood by playing hunks and conmen in more lightweight capers.
Some of his new and serious movies include "Syriana" and "Good Night, Good Luck."
"Syriana" is about the Cold War and "Good Night, Good Luck" is about a journalist's crusade to bring down Senator Joe McCarthy.
He says: "I'm working on projects that I want to raise a debate about. I'm interested in films of the 1960s and 1970s that were political. They were born out of the civil rights, Vietnam War, and women's rights movements. I feel it's a good time to have the entertainment community start asking questions again."
