Affleck might run for senator

Los Angeles, Sep 29 (IANS) The "Daredevil" actor Ben Affleck has been set up for a new role as a US senator.

According to Internet Movie Database, Virginia Democrats have plans to have Affleck run against Republican Senator George Allen in next year's elections. 

Affleck and his wife are also said to be looking for a house in Charlottesville, Virginia, but are not ready to move anytime soon. 

Affleck's name had been mentioned earlier but was not received very warmly. 

A representative for Affleck said: "He would make a superb candidate for public office in the future."
