Beatty may not run against Schwarzenegger

Los Angeles, Sep 27 (IANS) Actor Warren Beatty is keeping his supporters waiting even though they seem convinced he will run against Arnold Schwarzenegger for public office in California.
According to Internet Movie Database, Beatty was cheered by his supporters, including wife Annette Benning and Oscar winner Sean Penn, when he spoke at a California Nurses Association gathering. But Beatty thinks the time is not right for him to announce his candidacy and for now he is just happy being a thorn in Governor's Schwarzenegger's side.
He says, "I've always preferred not to run for public office. Instead, you say what you think is the truth and you try to perform a public service. Running for a public office is another matter. Sometimes you might have to do that. I don't really want to have to do that. I tell you what I do want to do - continue saying what I think is the right thing to say."
