New Pocahontas film slammed for being sexual
Indo-Asian News Service
London, Dec 19 (IANS) Historians have slammed Irish actor Colin Farrell's latest movie for "inaccurate" portrayal of his love affair with an 11-year-old Pocahontas.
According to contactmusic.com, the movie "The New World" has Farrell play the role of mariner captain John Smith, whose life is saved from native Indians by a local princess Pocahontas.
Experts say the implied sexual relationship between the pair is nonsensical and absolutely not true.
A professor of history at Colgate University, Camilla Townsend, says: "It is extraordinary that they (filmmakers) worked so hard to get the scenes and the costumes correct yet continue to ignore the facts."

The band, which reunited last month without Robbie Williams, has reportedly hired new management for next year's reunion tour and forthcoming album.

Woody Allen says he is mediocre
Indo-Asian News Service
London, Dec 19 (IANS) Acclaimed director Woody Allen has attacked his own work by calling it "mediocre" and "miserable" at the premiere of his new movie "Match Point".
According to contactmusic.com, the Oscar winning director credits his intellectual appearance for winning over film critics, but rues his lack of commercial success insisting that flocking audiences are the true mark of a great filmmaker.
He says: "I've disappointed myself most of the time. People think I'm an intellectual because I wear glasses and they think I'm an artist because my films lose money.
"My relationship with the American audience is exactly the same as it has always been: they never came to see my films, and they don't come now. I've often said that the only thing standing between me and greatness is me."
