Gyllenhaal not inhibited by gay scenes
Indo-Asian News Service
London, Oct 7 (IANS) "Day after Tomorrow" star Jake Gyllenhaal says he had no inhibitions about acting the gay sex scenes in the movie "Brokeback Mountain" because he grew up in an environment where homosexuality is common.
According to contactmusic.com, Gyllenhaal said he had no hesitation in accepting the role and that his liberal raising helped him to form an open view on the subject.
He said: "As soon as I read the script I wanted to do it. A lot of people have asked me, 'Were you worried about the sex scenes?' And you know, maybe it's just that I take these things for granted, because I live in LA and some of my close friends and family are gay, and I grew up in a generation where it's not a problem."
