Ex-wife says Lennon caused heartbreak

London, Oct 1 (IANS) Late Beatle John Lennon's ex-wife Cynthia says she went through mental torture when Lennon refused to admit his love for Japanese artist Yoko Ono.

The couple got married in 1962, but the relationship ended when Lennon met Ono, said contactmusic.com. 

Cynthia says, "I was devastated. But there was no way I could talk to John because he just closed the door. He was cruel to me and awful to Julian. We'd been on a rollercoaster ride together but suddenly it was as though we were switched off - like a light."
