Clinton, Janet Jackson blamed for movie's R rating

New York, Nov 23 (IANS) Filmmaker Lasse Halstrom is blaming Bill Clinton and Janet Jackson for his new film "Casanova" getting a strict rating by US censors.
According to Internet Movie Database, Halstrom claims that the media's attempts to clean up after Clinton's fling with Monica Lewinsky and Janet Jackson baring her breast at the 2004 Super Bowl have affected harmless films like "Casanova".
He says: " 'Casanova' is R rated, which is such a stupid American thing... For this film, I think the Motion Picture Association of America had a problem with the under-the-table scene (in which an underage teenager frolics with Casanova Heath Ledger during a ball). So it got a R, which is a pretty dramatic decision and the wrong one.
"It made this whole thing escalate after Clinton and (Janet) Jackson showing one tit at a football game. Had this film been made a few years ago it would've been rated PG-13."
