Fergie finds out how to love herself

London, Sep 21 (IANS) Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie has learned how to put herself first after years of trying to make everybody else around her happy.

According to contactmusic.com, Fergie says that her training as a child star forced her to keep her true feelings inside and she ended up being traumatised.

She says: "When I was a child actor, I was people-pleasing all the time. It's called 'being professional', but I held a lot of things in."

Fergie was hooked on to drugs but she has finally come clean after seeking treatment through a hypnotherapist.

She adds: "That's why it was important for me to express what I've been through on the album."
