Nayar will soon be free to marry Hurley

London, Oct 1 (IANS) Indian origin businessman Arun Nayar will soon be free to wed British model and actress Liz Hurley with his estranged wife agreeing to a divorce after a yearlong legal fight.
The businessman had been battling Italian model Valentina Pedroni in Indian courts, but the legal action has now been withdrawn. Their case has been transferred to a court in London and could be resolved this month, a report in the Mirror said.
Arun, 41, filed for divorce in India on grounds of mental torture, accusing the Italian model of treating him "in a most cruel manner".
But the couple, who had married in Mumbai in 1997, were unable to agree on a financial deal - Valentina rejected a 620,000- pound settlement offer.
She is now believed to have agreed to divorce if Arun drops his mental cruelty charge and the case is heard in Britain - possibly because of Italy's tough divorce laws.
An insider told the paper: "Both are anxious to sort this out."
Arun reportedly had to cancel plans to wed Liz in June.
