Indo-Asian News Service

New York, Dec 6 (IANS) Jennifer Aniston's lawyers are threatening legal action after finding out that pictures of her sunbathing topless in her home are in circulation.

According to contactmusic.com, Aniston's lawyers are warning the world's media outlets that they will face lawsuits if they buy the photographs, which were taken by a paparazzo. The lawyers say they could face 'invasion-of-privacy' lawsuits if they use the shots.

The letter from Aniston's lawyer reads: "If you are approached and offered the right to acquire and publish (any) of the photographs, please inform the undersigned of the name and contact information of any person or persons who are offering to sell or license any of the photographs.

"Publication of the photographs would not only expose you to substantial damages but you will also be held liable for the embarrassment and emotional distress caused to Ms. Aniston by such publication."

Theron imitates geckos in her new film
Indo-Asian News Service

New York, Dec 6 (IANS) Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron prepared for her role in the new comic book adaptation "Aeon Flux" by studying tropical lizards.

Internet Movie Database reports that Theron plays a lycra-clad super heroine in the new movie. She was keen to make her movements as fluid as possible and so decided to study the slithering movements of the geckos.

The movie stunt director says: "There's a scene where Charlize runs on all fours and her belly is only three or four inches off the ground, so we watched National Geographic videos of geckos to analyse their movements."

Theron says: "I'm from Africa. I know all about geckos. I used to play 'Alcatraz' with them in my yard."

Andrews hated filming classic 'Sound Of Music' scene

According to Internet Movie Database, Maria, played by Andrews, sings the theme song with a big smile on her face, but filming that sequence became a tiresome exercise.

She says: "I will never forget it, there was a large helicopter coming towards me through the mountains with a brave cameraman hanging out the side.

"We shot the scene many times, and at the end of each take, the helicopter would circle round. The downdraft nailed me flat onto the grass, and a couple of times I bit the dust. At first it was funny, but after several times I began to get very angry."

London, Dec 6 (IANS) Eva Longoria, the star of the hit TV show "Desperate Housewives", says she wants to keep away from sexy film roles because she doesn't want to be typecast.

According to contactmusic.com, Longoria, who plays the adulterous Gabrielle Solis in "Desperate Housewives", doesn't want to end up like former "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston.

She says: "I've done a couple of films and I'd love to do more. I want roles that are the opposite of Gabrielle - I don't want to be known as just a sexpot, it's so hard to break out of. Even though Jennifer Aniston's had huge success, she'll always be Rachel Green."

King Kong premiers in New York for 8,000 guests
DPA

New York, Dec 6 (DPA) He is back, and New York is besieged with King Kong fever - the newest film incarnation of hairy King Kong.

Initial reviews of "King Kong" have already proclaimed the Hollywood blockbuster by director Peter "Lord of the Rings" Jackson to be a modern masterpiece.

The $200-million movie about the doomed love of a giant gorilla for a Hollywood actress hits cinemas Dec 14 as the annual box office take is slumping at least six percent from last year's figure.

But hopes that director Jackson has fashioned a hit on a par with his previous "Lord of the Rings" epics have risen following initial reviews in the British press.

"That Jackson's 'King Kong' upgrades the now hammy original with wit, heart and humour is a pleasant surprise," wrote critic Kevin Maher in The Times.

"That it does so by reinventing the action blockbuster, in form and emotional impact, is nothing less than an act of cinematic alchemy."

Jackson himself, who just finished editing the film a few days ago, said he needs more distance in order to judge the film.

Monday was declared King Kong Day by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg in front of a massive replica of King Kong in Times Square.

Jackson and Naomi Watts, who plays heroine Ann Darrow, posed by the giant feet of the replica gorilla, whose movements in the film were portrayed by actor Andy Serkis, of Gollum fame from "Lord of the Rings".
