Clapton says he will work until he dies

London, Oct 7 (IANS) Rock legend Eric Clapton says he will keep on working until he dies because he needs the money to pay for his extravagant lifestyle.

According to contactmusic.com, the singer makes an estimated $216 million. But Clapton says that he and his wife Melia McEnery have such great expenses that his bank account could run dry any time soon if he stops singing.

He says, "It's not a pretence. I will have to work to support the way we live."
