Kumaraswamy promises to make a new film

Bangalore, Feb 25 (IANS) New Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy is to make a film based on a period novel, Hejje", by writer Vyasaraya Ballal.

"I had spoken a few years ago about making this film but I could not take up the project," he said here. "Now I am determined to make a good film, which will also prove to be a popular."
Besides being a politician, Kumarasway is also a well-known film producer and distributor.
He said: "We should not compromise on the quality of films. At the same time we should also be protective about the thousands of film industry workers and the unorganised workers working in the distribution and exhibition sectors."
