'Paruthiveeran' promises Karthi superstardom
By Aparna Nath,
Chennai, March 20 Ameer's "Paruthiveeran" got an amazing opening
in Tamil Nadu and it seems nothing is going to stop the film
from being a blockbuster.
The top five Tamil films are:
1. "Paruthiveeran" - Director: Ameer. The film is sure to be a
huge hit and Karthi Sivakumar may in all probability overtake
superstar brother Surya as the next heartthrob.
2. "Mozhi" - Director: Radhamohan. "Mozhi" can be described as a
sweet and fantastic film. The film's success is promising for
those who dare to be different.

3. "Pachaikili Muthucharam" - Director: Gautham Menon. It is
definitely not Gautham Menon's best film but is certainly Sarath
Kumar's best performance ever.
4. "Thirumagan" - Director: A.M. Ratnakumar. A lousy film, but
what makes it watchable is Meera Jasmine's spirited performance.
The frontbenchers, however, are appreciative of double entendre
used by Surya.
5. "Pokkiri" - Director: Prabhu Deva. Vijay starrer "Pokkiri" is
the first super hit of 2007 and is still going great guns.
'Mozhi' melodies are unbeatable
Chennai, New albums have been hitting the market every week, but
nothing can beat the songs from "Mozhi". Composer Vidyasagar is
at his best in the album that continues its amazing run weeks
after the release.
The top five Tamil albums are:
1. "Mozhi" - Music Director: Vidyasagar. Every song is great,
but the male and female versions of "Kaatrin mozhiye", sung by
Balram and Sujatha respectively, are particularly good.
2. "Chennai 600028" - Music Director: Yuvan Shankar Raja. Yuvan
created this album for youth and it clicked. With the World Cup
going on, the song "Ulle vaa", which has cricket as its theme,
is sure to become a huge hit.
3. "Pachaikili Muthucharam" - Music Director: Harris Jayaraj.
Like "Mozhi", "Pachaikili" songs are good and can be heard all
the time on FM channels.
4. "Unnale Unnale" - Music Director: Harris Jayaraj. "Unnale
Unnale" is slowly catching up.
5. "Ninaithu Ninaithu Parthen" - Music Director: Joshua Sridhar.
Joshua created magic in Kadhal and arrived on the Tamil music
scene with a bang. "Ninaithu..." is a great album with excellent
melodies.
