The film, starring R. Madhavan and Sada and released here in July 2005, was taken earlier this year to South Africa, which has a sizeable population of Tamil origin. And the film with a Dubai backdrop enjoyed a good run in the rainbow country.
It is now being dubbed in an African language for release in some other African countries, according to Madhavan, who plays the lead role in "Priya Sakhi".
The film came as a much-awaited hit for Madhavan. He teamed up with Sada, who played a bride struggling to fit into her husband's joint family.
K.S. Adhiman directed the film, for which Bharadwaj scored the music.
