Jayaraj's 'Unnale Unnale' tops Tamil albums
By Aparna Nath,
Chennai, Jan 9 Music composer Harris Jayaraj's latest album "Unnale
Unnale", which is worth listening to again and again, deserves
only the top position.
The top five Tamil Albums are:
1. "Unnale Unnale" - Music Director: Harris Jayaraj. With
this album, Jayaraj continues his winning streak after "Ghajini"
and "Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu". The pick of the enjoyable album is
the opening track "June Pona" by Krish and Arun.
2. "Thiruvilaiyaadal Aarambham" - Music Director: D.
Imman. With the success of the film, the album too is racing to
the top. "Ennamma Kannu" by Karthik and Ranjith is the pick of
the album and it continues to rock.
3. "Aalwar" - Music Director: Srikant Deva. The album,
slated for a Pongal release, is expected to do well.
4. "Thamiraparani" - Music Director: Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Disappointingly, Yuvan, one of the most popular composers, is
opting for quantity and not quality.
5. "Sivappadhikaram" - Music Director: Vidyasagar. The
film is not a super hit but the album is doing quite well -
especially the song "Atrai Thingal" sung by Madhu Balakrishnan
and Sujata.
