Tunstall slams obsession with Spears

ervice London, Nov 13 (IANS) Scottish singer K.T. Tunstall is slamming the world's obsession with troubled pop singer Britney Spears and says it has gotten out of control.

According to contactmusic.com, Tunstall believes the attention given to Spears has reached ridiculous heights and compares it to ancient Roman audiences baying for the blood of gladiators.

She said: "There's this anti-intellectualism going on with all the magazines who cover her. It's almost like the days of the gladiators. The people are begging for death."
