Two songs from 'Kilukkam...' among Malayalam toppers

Kochi, March 18 (IANS) The songs from "Kilukkam Kilukilukkam", which is a sequel to Priyadarshan's classic "Kilukkam", are ruling the list. The top five Malayalam songs are:

  

1. "Oottipattanam" - Film: "Kilukkam Kilukilukkam"; Music: Deepak Dev; Lyrics: Shibu Chakravarty; Singers: M.G. Sreekumar and Chithra - The song is similar to the one used in the original and the similarity has worked in its favour.

2. "Sundari onnu" - Film: "Lion"; Music: Deepak Dev; Lyrics: Kaithapram Singers: Udit Narayan and Shwetha - Deepak Dev has been dominating the list for quite some time and it seems he will continue to do so.

3. "Pattonnu paadan" - Film: "Kilukkam Kilukilukkam"; Music: Deepak Dev; Lyrics: Shibu Chakravarty; Singers: Ranjith, Benny, Smitha and Arjun - The ensemble song is the second track from the film to enter the list.

4. "Ozhukukayay" - Film: "Achanurangatha Veedu"; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Vayalar Sharathchandra Varma; Singers: Reju Joseph and Sujatha - A song with a light classical touch, it is a pleasant surprise coming from Alex Paul.

5. "Chirimanimulla" - Film: "Lion"; Music: Deepak Dev; Lyrics: Kaithapram; Singers: Afsal and Jyotsna - The songs of "Lion" are still hot because they are repeatedly played on TV channels.
