Alec Baldwin plans to retire in 2012

London, June 17 (IANS) American actor Alec Baldwin says that he will take retirement in March 2012.

The "Cooler" star insists he'll consider himself a former actor when his current contract on TV show "30 Rock" expires in three years, reported imdb.com.

"In March 2012, I'll wake up and say, 'What am I going to do now? Am I done?' I think I will be done. I may finish a play or something, but I'm retiring at the wrap party," said the actor.

And he hopes his decision to walk away from showbiz will allow him to lead a quiet family life well away from Hollywood.
